Komatsu Forest AB (buyer), fully owned subsidiary of Komatsu Ltd. will acquire Bracke Forest AB from the current owner Cranab AB, part of Fassi Group. After strong consideration we have decided to agree with the buyer to sell Bracke Forest, which have been part of Cranab Group since 2013, to utilize the opportunity for the company to continue its growth. On the condition that all necessary procedures for closing are completed, the acquisition is planned to be completed by July 1st, 2022.
Cranab has donated a grapple for a lottery organised by Swedish Forestry contractors in Värmland, western Sweden.
The contractors collected 63.000 SEK (6000 EUR) for the lottery and the money was donated to the Swedish fund for prostate cancer research.
Winner of the mustache grapple was contractor Hugo Renström, Årjäng.
The manufacturing company Cranab in Vindeln outside Umeå is celebrating its 60th anniversary. It was in 1960 that the first step towards today's business was taken by the brothers Allan and Rune Jonsson. Today Cranab is a world-leading manufacturer of cranes and grapples for forestry machines and trucks.
The company Cranab in Vindeln developed a unique blue-lacquered grapple with mustache that was auctioned in favour of the fight against prostate cancer. The auction took place at Entrepreneur's meeting in Lycksele, Sweden, and there was great interest.
"Prostate cancer is the most common cancer form in Sweden. Many in the forest sector, as well as many of our users are men who are in a risk zone of being affected or have been affected. Therefore, it feels very good that in this way we have been able to contribute to a better cancer care, research on prostate cancer and the possibility of saving more lives, "says Håkan Bergh, sales manager in Sweden.
A new EU regulation, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), will come into force on 25th May and aims to secure the processing of personal data. Cranab has therefore updated its privacy policy to clarify how we handle personal data.

The Italian crane manufacturer Fassi acquires 100% ownership of Cranab. Fassi acquired part-ownership of Cranab in 2013 and has since then increased its ownership in the company step by step and, with the acquisition of Hans Eliasson´s shares, has now become the full owner of the Cranab Group, which consists of the companies Cranab, Vimek and Bracke Forest.
